As Melbourne increases in size and sprawl green spaces become more vital, providing a place for people to literally breathe. Join us to discover how urban green spaces effect the health of our city, the wellbeing of its people, and how we can use this knowledge to create happier, healthier, smarter cities.

This event is an interactive presentation by our Urban Green Spaces researchers followed by a walking tour of University Square to see first-hand the technology and space that allows this research to happen. It  looks at how urban greenery affects our wellbeing and how we can use our understanding of urban green spaces to build the smart cities of the future.

This event is part of Melbourne Knowledge Week, 1 – 7 May 2017, proudly presented by the City of Melbourne.
