Melbourne Networked Society Institute (MNSI) are hosting a workshop for researchers interested in applying for its 2017 seed funding round. The MNSI Seed Funding round seeks to catalyse new innovative interdisciplinary projects to further our research agenda.

The workshop allows researchers to share ideas and make connections with potential collaborators to better facilitate the interdisciplinary research seed funding applications.

"I really appreciate the way that the process has been run, the constant encouragement to talk about our proposed projects with the MNSI team, and the way that the collaborations were initiated. A great example of how ideas collide."

- Dr Kate Lee, MNSI Seed Funding Workshop attendee 2016

Attendees are required to register beforehand and provide a brief summary of their research interests.

The MNSI supports research on the connectivity between people, places and things to solve the problems facing the networked society.

Seed funding provides the opportunity for the MNSI to support novel, new research projects from University researchers. Project teams will be interdisciplinary and build research capacity at the University. Collaborations with external organisations is welcomed and projects will demonstrate the capacity to scale research through the attraction of external funding and partnerships.
